facilitiesDescription Half of the sites have a primitive toilet; be sure to check the site specifics prior to reserving. All campsites have fire rings. Horses are only allowed at certain sites. Specifically, horses are allowed at all sites on Swan Lake, site 1 at Ironjaw Lake, sites 1 and 2 at Triangle Lake. All of the sites have boat access to the lake. Most of them are back-in and a few have a boat/canoe slide. Many of the campsites offer hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. importantInformation Pack-In, Pack-out policy There is a 14-day stay limit. No drinking water provided (except at Little Bass and Camp Cook, which have hand pumps). Campsite must be occupied the first night. Horse camping: At sites that allow horses. All straw, hay, feed and manure must be raked up and hauled home. Horses must be properly tethered in designated areas Click here for more information on the Hiawatha National Forest You are welcome to collect firewood from the area surrounding your campsite. Just remember that any firewood that you collect must be DEAD AND DOWN Don't move firewood: To limit the spread of invasive tree-killing pests, firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Some states have quarantines and may confiscate your firewood. nearbyAttrctionDescription There is a number of horse, bike, and hiking trails within minutes of several of the sites. In over a mile from these campsites, visitors can expect to find: bait shops, general and grocery stores, gas, a pay phone, trailheads, a fishing pier, biking, and kayak/canoe rentals.

orientationDescription All of these sites are nestled in hardwood trees and pines. All of them are on small inland lakes, which offer a wide variety of fishing opportunities. There is one exception; Camp Cook, which is close to the Fishdam River and provides opportunities for good brook trout fishing.
recreationDescription Visitors will be able to enjoy swimming, berry picking, and fishing at these dispersed campsites. Licenses are required for fishing in Michigan waters. Some of these campsites offer only one site on these inland lakes allowing for a very peaceful and wilderness-like experience.
